What are your thoughts on Espoo? What are the things you like? What should the city improve? Respond to our surveys that collect residents’ wishes for the future Espoo.

The results will be used as we update the city’s strategy, known as the Espoo Story, and develop our urban environment. The surveys will be open until the end of October.

We all make the Espoo Story

The preparation of the Espoo Story for the next City Council term 2021–2025 has begun. We are now collecting residents’ views and wishes regarding Espoo’s future to support the work of the elected bodies.

“It is important to us that our residents’ voices are heard in the Espoo Story. Therefore we are asking everyone to participate,” says the city’s Strategy Director Jorma Valve.
“The Espoo Story has been guiding the city’s development for two City Council terms. The story-based strategy is easy to communicate and people have been very committed to implementing it,” Valve says.

Now it is time for you to think about your future Espoo and participate in our survey. The survey will take about 5 minutes to complete.

Mark on the map any spots that are important or need to be developed

In addition to the survey that collects residents’ views and wishes regarding Espoo’s future, we also have another survey. This map-based survey focuses on the development of Espoo’s urban environments.

In this survey, you can use a map to describe what your Espoo looks and feels like. What is your everyday life like in your city – in the areas around your home, workplace or school? How do you get from one place to another? What are the places that are important to you or close to your heart? What areas should be developed and how?

The results will be used in the preparation of the Espoo Story, in Espoo’s city planning and in Aalto University research concerning urban living environments and their health-enhancing effects.

The map survey will take about 20–30 minutes to complete.
