Espoo’s Employment Corner’s autumn season starts in August with updated service hours. During the autumn season, the Employment Corner is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 am to 3 pm. The service hours have been updated to be more customer-friendly: the Employment Corner, which opened in March and is located in the pop-up space at the Iso Omena Service Centre, has proven to be busiest in the afternoons.
The Employment Corner is a service aimed at adult job-seekers over the age of 30, which offers advice and perspectives on matters related to job-seeking and education and training. The Corner provides a personal service without appointment. So far, the Employment Corner and its events have been visited by approximately 800 job-seekers.
Weekly theme days starting on 8 August
The Employment Corner also has weekly theme days:
- Job-seeking Tuesdays offer help with preparing job applications and CVs and tips for job-seeking on social media.
- Training Wednesdays offer information about education and training opportunities from visiting representatives of educational institutes. Visitors can also look forward to short briefings and visits from guidance counsellors, among other things.
- Employer Thursdays provide opportunities to meet recruiting companies and employer representatives.
The autumn’s weekly programme kicks off with a recruitment date on Thursday 8 August. Other events in August include the recruitment market for the construction industry (29 August), an info event on studying while unemployed (14 August) and a visit by a career counselling psychologist (21 August).
