Niittykumpu is a district in southwestern Espoo and the home of some 5,000 residents. This number is expected to reach 12,000 by 2030.
Niittykumpu has excellent public transport connections. The metro and several buses to link the district to other parts of Espoo and the capital region. The metro station was opened in 2017. Mobility is also facilitated by safe pedestrian and bicycle routes that were recently built.
Niittykumpu is characterised by greenery and parks. They will be conserved even if the district will become denser and more urban.
