Niittykumpu

Niittykumpu is a rapidly evolving, mainly residential district in southeastern Espoo and the home of some 5,000 residents. This number is expected to reach 12,000 by 2030.

Niittykumpu has excellent public transport connections. The metro, which started operating in 2017, and several buses link the district to other parts of Espoo and the capital region. There are also excellent pedestrian and cycle paths with new tunnels and access bridges that improve the safety of users.

Several high-quality playgrounds and sports areas have been built for the enjoyment of residents. Niittykumpu’s characteristic greenery and parks have been preserved and more green areas are planned even if the district is becoming more urban and densely built.
