Grand Duke of Luxembourg visited Espoo

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the City of Espoo on their state visit to Finland. The programme in Espoo was hosted by Mayor Jukka Mäkelä. In Espoo, the royal guests visited Aalto University, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, the Me & MyCity introducing children to business and working life, and Haltia – the Finnish Nature Centre. 

In connection with the state visit, an extensive business delegation arrived in Espoo. They were presented the innovation ecosystem of Espoo, Espoo Innovation Garden.'

As part of the state visit, VTT and LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The cooperation will focus on research on energy efficiency, bioeconomy and smart solutions.

The agreement was signed by Gabriel Crean, CEO of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and Antti Vasara, VTT President and CEO.
