The Act on the amendment of the Administrative Procedure Act, which entered into force on 1 January 2020, has brought changes to the City of Espoo’s public notice procedure. Under the new law, the public notice and the document to be given notice of must be kept publicly available on the authority’s website for 14 days.

Public notices will no longer be kept publicly available on the city notice board. In future, public notices will be available on the city’s website

Some public notices will also continue to be published in the newspapers. These include notices of the public availability of participation and evaluation plans of town plans and their preparatory materials as well as public notices of grants to organisations from Social and Health Services and the schedules of sports and exercise facilities and sports fields.
