Designed by Matti Suuronen (1933–2013), the Futuro house is one of the most popular attractions at the exhibition Centre WeeGee.
The Futuro house attracted a total of 17,703 visitors during the 2019 summer season.
The Futuro house was open throughout the summer, and one of WeeGee’s guides was always there to chat with the visitors. In July, the visitors were invited to photograph the Futuro from their favourite angles with an instant camera, and a visitor survey was conducted in the Futuro house.
The Futuro is particularly popular among families visiting from the capital region. Although the majority of visitors are first-timers, one in four people keep coming back to the Futuro again and again. The survey respondents described the Futuro as interesting, fun and curious – a trip back in time and into the future at the same time.
The Futuro house will be reopened to the public in May 2020.
