The City of Espoo will reopen the Service Points in Espoonlahti and Tapiola on 17 May 2021. The Leppävaara Service Point will, however, remain closed. These three Service Points have been closed since the end of November due to coronavirus restrictions.

The Leppävaara Service Point will remain closed because it is located on the same premises as the Sello Library. For the time being, libraries only offer limited services. You can pick up reserved items, check out and return items using the self-service machines and use the customer computers to take care of essential matters. All non-essential visits should be avoided as the epidemic is still in the community transmission phase in the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa.

The Service Points in Espoon keskus, Kalajärvi and Matinkylä have been open as usual during the coronavirus epidemic.

During advance voting, Espoonlahti and Tapiola Service Points are only open to voters

During the advance voting period from 26 May to 8 June 2021, the Espoonlahti and Tapiola Service Points will only be open to voters. If you need to take care of other matters, you can contact our staff by telephone, through our chat service or via email or visit one of our open Service Points.

“I am very happy that we are able to open the Espoonlahti and Tapiola Service Points a little over a week before advance voting starts. This will at least give residents a short period during which they can take care of essential matters,” says Customer Service Manager Anna-Maija Aalto.

Our staff will limit the number of customers at the Service Points if necessary. This will ensure that all customers can maintain the recommended distance of two metres from other people. We also have other arrangements in place. For example, only some of our customer computers and chairs in the waiting areas are available.

“Our staff wear face masks, and we recommend that our customers do the same. For example, brief assistance with our customer computers is only available if you wear a mask,” Aalto says.

New opening hours at Espoonlahti Service Point

The opening hours of the Espoonlahti Service Point have changed during the epidemic. The Service Point will be closed during the staff’s lunch break from 12:00 to 12:45. On Fridays, the Service Point will close its doors at 16:00, one hour earlier than before. The Service Point will still be open until 18:00 on Wednesdays, which will ensure the availability of services to those who work during office hours.
