The new form will not display information from previously submitted forms. However, you can still view the old forms. If you would like to store information from your old applications for supplementary and preventive social assistance, please print them or save them on your computer.
You can check the status of your application for supplementary or preventive social assistance online and see information about the payment of the benefit. You can also see the decisions on supplementary or preventive social assistance.
The application for supplementary or preventive social assistance does not work on the Internet Explorer browser. The service works on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Apply for basic social assistance through Kela’s online service. You can monitor the processing of your basic social assistance application through Kela’s online service.
When you sign in to the online service, select your preferred channel of communication: either Omapalvelu or by post. If you select Omapalvelu, decisions will be sent to you through Omapalvelu and not by post. If you do not select a preferred channel, we will send decisions to you by post.
You cannot use your personal banking codes to submit an application on someone else’s behalf.
