Applying for culture grants

Communities with a business ID may apply for culture project and development grants online from 3 February 2020 until 31 August 2020 by 15:45. Community applicants should submit their applications primarily through the online service.

Online application includes local culture grants, grants for starting and developing artistic activities and development grants for professional art and culture organisations/communities.

The online application process for project and development grants is under development and will later be expanded to cover private persons and working groups. Until further notice, use the PDF forms to apply for other types of culture grants or create reports for all types of grants.

You need online banking credentials or the Mobile Certificate for authentication.

During your first log-in, enter the basic information of the registered community and the personal information of the responsible persons as well as the community rules and board information as mandatory appendices.

Please note! Banking protection may prevent you from adding attachments when entering your information. Switch off the protection feature before adding attachments.

The community is responsible for the correctness of the information and its updates.


Project and development grants for communities are open for electronic application starting from Monday, 3 February 2020. The application period ends on Monday, 31 August 2020 at 15:45.

The community information is entered first; afterwards, you can fill in, sign and submit the application through the system.

The culture grant clinic is a counselling event open to all, organised on the following dates:
Thu 5 March, 15:00–18:30, place: Iso Omena Library, Matinkylä
Tue 5 May 15:00–18:30, place: Sello Library, Leppävaara
The grant clinic also offers support for the use of the electronic application service. You can participate in the counselling event whenever it suits you, with no advance sign-up required.
