Descriptions and fees

Registrations for available courses can be submitted  either  by calling 09 8166 0800 Mon–Fri 12 noon–1pm or online at espoo.fi/ohjattuliikunta Online banking credentials are required for the online registration. The invoice for the course fee will be sent to the home address of those who register by telephone. Registrations are accepted only as long as there is room on each respective course.

Please note the following when registering for a sports course

  • Espoo residents can register for up to two courses, one of which can be a water exercise course.
  • The water exercise courses are aimed at special groups – seniors and working-age people in Olari (please note that the premises do not feature accessibility arrangements).
  • Enrolment is personal and binding.
  • You can also enrol your family members.
  • Children under 18 must be enrolled by a parent or guardian.
  • Guided sports courses for seniors and special groups are free of charge for Espoo residents aged 68 or older. The exemption from payment will begin the year that the person turns 68. Course admittance will occur in order of enrolment.
  • Those using swimming hall services must pay the course fee or buy a single ticket as well as the swimming hall entrance fee. The use of Espoo swimming halls is free of charge for 68+ sports card holders.

FEES 

The pricing of courses is group-based instead of individual-based. Guided sports courses seniors and special groups are free of charge for Espoo residents aged 68 or older. The exemption from payment will begin the year that the person turns 68.

Course fee for the autumn or spring season (1 course/week)

  • Adults €41
  • Persons under 18 years of age, pensioners/seniors and special groups (designated times only) €18
  • Students and unemployed persons (adult periods) €18.
    Proof to be presented to the group instructor before the second group meeting

Discounted course fee for the remaining season (1 course/week) 
As of 18 March 2019 in the spring season.

  • Adults €23
  • Persons under 18 years of age, pensioners/seniors and special groups (designated times only) €15
  • Students and unemployed persons (adult periods) €15.
    Proof to be presented to the group instructor before the second group meeting

OTHER FEES 

  • One-time fee for instruction at a swimming hall €2.50.
    Single water exercise, body maintenance and circuit training session only.
    The session fee does not include the entrance fee to the swimming hall.
    Tokens are sold at the swimming hall cash desk one hour prior to the single session. Only one token/swimming hall visit.
  • The single-session water exercise is free-of-charge with the 68+ sports card.
  • Exercise and weight management or Almost retired course (short course) €20/course (5–8 sessions)
  • Exercise counselling free of charge

Those using swimming hall services must pay the course fee or buy a single ticket as well as the swimming hall entrance fee. The use of Espoo swimming halls is free of charge for 68+ sports wristband holders.

If an exercise instructor falls ill, we will strive to find a substitute to teach the course. If a substitute cannot be found, classes will be cancelled for the duration of the instructor’s absence. Cancelled classes are not refunded. The aim is to get a professional in the field of sports to serve as the substitute.

The City of Espoo provides practical training positions for students in sports programmes. We reserve the right to make changes.
