The coronavirus coordination group for the Helsinki metropolitan area issues recommendations and restrictions to curb the spread of the epidemic in the region. It is hoped that the current stricter restrictions and recommendations will stop the spread of the epidemic in the region.

Due to the latest decision of the coronavirus coordination group, all cultural venues in Espoo and the public areas of the City Museum will remain closed until 31 January 2021.

Libraries will continue to provide limited services. You can pick up items from the limited collection and theme shelves and reserved items from the pick-up shelf. Customer computers will also be available for brief use to take care of essential matters. You are required to wear a mask when visiting a library.

All cultural events have been cancelled. Cancelled events at the city’s cultural venues (Sello Hall, Cultural Centre, Kannusali, Children’s Cultural Centre Aurora, Exhibition Centre WeeGee and Vindängen) will be held at a later date, if possible. Each cultural venue will provide information on the cancelled and postponed events on their website, together with instructions on how to return pre-purchased tickets.

The coronavirus coordination group recommends that private operators also close their recreational facilities.
