Helsinki Pride Week will be celebrated again this summer – with Espoo Event and Cultural Services as an official partner

Helsinki Pride Week, which celebrates equality and diversity, is returning to its former time in June, the internationally recognised Pride month. Helsinki Pride is Finland’s largest human rights and cultural event. The week is produced together with employees of the Helsinki Pride community, dozens of partner organisations and numerous volunteers.

Helsinki Pride 2021 will take place between 28 June and 4 July. As in previous years, the programme consists of a wide range of content, such as workshops, excursions, peer meetings, lectures and performances.

Espoo Event and Cultural Services will participate as an official Gold Partner of Helsinki Pride for the first time this year. Event and Cultural Services include Exhibition Centre WeeGee, Espoo Cultural Centre, Sello Hall, Children’s Cultural Centre Aurora, Kannusali, Karatalo and City Events. In accordance with the Espoo Story, Espoo Event and Cultural Services share Pride’s values of making society more open and safe for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. The content and communications of Espoo Event and Cultural Services are built around the core idea of considering the city residents according to a modern, inclusive and communal operating culture.

Further information will be updated on the Helsinki Pride website www.pride.fi.
