The Kalajärvi Service Centre offers limited services for the time being due to the coronavirus epidemic. You can check the availability of different services from this news article – we will update the information as the situation changes.
You may not visit the Service Centre if you have even the slightest symptoms of a common cold or any stomach symptoms. Even if you are healthy, we recommend that you run your errand as quickly as possible. Always wear a mask or a face shield.
Restrictions on gatherings lifted gradually as of 15 June 2021
Opening hours of the public areas at the Kalajärvi Service Centre:
- Mon–Tue, Thu–Fri 8:00–16:00, Wed 8:00–18:00 (21 June–15 August 2021).
- As of 16 August 2021, we will return to normal opening hours, which will be announced later on our website.
- Each service also has its own summer opening hours.
The library’s facilities and reading rooms were opened and self-service hours resumed on 15 June 2021. Meeting rooms and group activity facilities will be available for booking as of 21 June through Varaamo or by calling the security guard of the Service Centre, tel. 046 877 1314. You can visit the Service Centre to run your errands, but you have to follow hygiene instructions and maintain safe distances. The number of seats will be reduced to ensure safe distances between customers.
Services of different units
The Service Point serves customers during its normal opening hours, but primarily in essential official matters. Brief digital support is also available at the Service Points for people who need help in taking care of essential official matters. At the Service Point, digital support is only offered to customers who wear a mask or a face shield. Digital support is also available remotely via telephone, chat and video chat. The library is open Mon–Fri 11:00–18:00 (10.5.2021–15.8.2021 Mon–Wed 13:00–20:00, Thu–Fri 9:00–16:00). Self-service hours: Mon−Fri 6:00−20:00, Sat−Sun 6:00−15:00. As of 1 June 2021, the library premises will be opened for a maximum of half of the number of customers.
The Service Centre aims to resume normal services as soon as the coronavirus situation and the official recommendations so permit.
