Multicultural Advisory Board
The Espoo Multicultural Advisory Board is a coordinating body of representatives from immigrant and faith communities and churches, organizations, representatives of the city's administrative sectors and city policy makers. The Advisory Board's mandate is to promote integration among ethnic groups, monitor and assess integration in Espoo and promote good ethnic relations.The advisory board is appointed for a two-year term. The current advisory board has been appointed for the term 2017 - 2019.
The advisory board has a sub-committee (KOTY) focusing on integration, education and employment. KOTY's members are representatives of the cities of Espoo, Kauniainen and Kirkkonummi, the Employment and Economic Development Office and the immigrant education sector.
The advisory board works in cooperation with corresponding boards in the Metropolitan Area.
The advisory board makes initiatives, proposals and statements related to the above themes.
The advisory board's chairperson is Rauli Virtanene
