Multicultural Program 2009-2012
The Espoo City Council approved Espoo's new Multicultural Program for 2009-2012 in its meeting on September 7, 2009. The purpose of the program is to ensure that Espoo residents with an immigrant background are in a position equal to that of other city residents.
The program describes the situation in Espoo and presents 23 concrete aims for development and measures to be used to monitor their development. The structure and aims are built according to four of the City of Espoo's strategic themes:

The Espoo Multicultural Advisory Board is one of the monitors of the program. The Advisory Board's minutes from its meetings of 3/2011 and 4/2011 show the monitored results for 2009-2010 (in Finnish only).
