Espoo Finnish Education Unit offers children and young people high-quality, diverse and regionally equal development and educational opportunities. The starting point of operations is educational equality, which accounts for the individual characteristics of the learner. Finnish Education Unit

Finnish Education Unit leads the operations of the Finnish-language comprehensive and general upper secondary schools in Espoo. It develops and assesses teaching and education together with the schools. It answers for arranging and developing student welfare and special education, plans and executes professional development courses for the teaching staff and arranges student support services. It leads and develops the annual pupil catchment and plans the school network. Learn more about the tasks in the unit's operating directive.

Finnish Education Unit is divided in three service areas: basic the education unit, the upper secondary unit and the planning and administrative services. The unit is lead by the Director of Education.

Majority of the unit's employees are teaching staff. In addition, assistants, school secretaries, school psychologists, school social officers as well as music and occupational therapeutists work in the schools.
